Leaks from underground storage tanks resulted in the release of LNAPL free product into the subsurface. The plume has since migrated across a busy road to a nearby residential area. ORIN successfully injected treatment chemistry into 7 drilled injection points on the gas station property and 13 points on residential properties. Approximately 10,000 gallons of treatment chemistry was injected into the 20 wells. A vacuum truck was used to extract free product and contaminated groundwater as well as control the hydraulic gradient within the subsurface during the injection event. Roughly 1,200 gallons of free product and contaminated groundwater was extracted from the site over a three day period.
